Waxstock 11 – The Festival With Over A Decade Of Detailing Distinction!

Waxstock 11, Europe’s largest gathering of detailing, valeting and car-care names is coming back to Coventry Arena, on the 21st July 2024. As the name suggests, and for those that don’t know, it’s an unashamed celebration of the great and the good within the car cleaning industry, and a ‘must-see’ for anyone who enjoys detailing their motor.

Waxstock 2023 proved to be a huge success, with over 60 stands, 100 brands in evidence -  and many thousands of visitors making a pilgrimage of perfection to spend time with leading industry experts and brands, while learning tips, tricks and techniques to keep their car immaculate. Returning to the original format this year, One day to Show and Shine, and an even more impressive line-up to give petrolhead polishers the perfect weekend away.

The Waxstock Arrive and Shine on the Sunday, sponsored last year by Gliptone, was limited to just 150 cars and allows early risers to compete for trophies across a wide range of categories and classes. Held predominantly outside in a VIP car park with only a few spaces available for display inside the hall for the full show, you can expect competition to be extremely tough and showcar standards to be impeccably high. Yet the standards soar to even greater heights in the Top 16 SHOWDOWN, sponsored last year by Nasiol, taking centre spot in the main hall.

With the most experienced detailers and car care professionals on the judging team, THE TOP 16 SHOWDOWN represents the ultimate in detailing accolades. With five judges, a bias resistant points system and an open entry process, the best detailed cars will get the accolades they deserve and take home the most vaunted concours trophies in the detailing scene. Best of all, it’s about the quality of work and preparation, rather than the subject matter. As the show mantra states, ‘It’s about the clean, not the machine…’ So if you’ve got a high mileage Peugeot 106 that’s clinically perfect, you’re in with every chance of winning. No concours queen gets to lord it here.

As well as some incredibly clean cars, Waxstock is perhaps the world’s largest gathering of specialist car care manufacturers at a single event, with around 60 exhibitors displaying their wares and sharing their knowledge. From small independent companies to huge bluechip brands, local companies to those from the other side of the world, representatives of almost every type of car care product and accessory will be at the show. Live demonstrations and clinics plus expert advice will be on hand throughout the event, with many brands and retailers offering special ‘show only’ deals to make a visitor’s car care budget go even further.

Commenting on the 2023 event, joint organiser John Hole said, ‘We’re very excited about the quality of the show and shine entries that we’ve seen so far are already some of the best cars to grace the event, and with so many great names exhibiting and demonstrating, plus the fabulous deals that are always on offer, it lived up to being the ultimate weekend for detailing enthusiasts and professionals.
